GERALD M. TENNER,

Gerald M. Tenner has over 30 years
of experience as an attorney specializing in real estate development,
commercial and retail real estate transactions, and commercial
lending. Mr. Tenner is also a certified public accountant.
The combined certifications provide him with a distinct advantage
of understanding both the business and legal aspects of a
transaction.
In the area of real estate development,
Mr. Tenner has assisted clients in land assemblage which have
led to the development of properties involving residential,
office and retail components. He is involved in the purchase,
sale, leasing and financing of the various individual phases
within the project, as well as the creation and negotiation
of partnerships.
Gerald Tenner also represents developers with respect to the
acquisition, development, disposition and/or leasing of retail
and industrial real estate projects, as well as office projects
where he has drafted and negotiated leases, purchase and sale
agreements, development agreements and reciprocal easement
agreements. He has also been involved in creating office and
industrial condominiums.
Mr. Tenner has substantial experience
in finance and joint venture investments where he has developed
a strong background in the formation and governance of business
organizations (corporations, partnerships, and limited liability
companies); tax structuring transactions (such as the use
of like-kind exchanges) and private arrangements for real
estate and other businesses.
Mr. Tenner has utilized his accounting
background to represent employers in connection with employment
matters and contracts, including the design, documentation,
implementation, administration and termination of qualified
benefit plans. He has represented clients before the Department
of Labor, Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation and Internal
Revenue Service.
Gerald Tenner has received an AV rating under the Martindale-Hubbell
lawyer rating system. An AV rating means that his attorney
peers have recognized Gerald Tenner with their highest rating
for legal ability and ethical standards.
Gerald M. Tenner was a partner in the Chicago office of Marks,
Marks and Kaplan, Ltd. prior to becoming Of Counsel with Gordon
& Rappold LLC.
