HOWARD D. GALPER,
Of Counsel
Howard D. Galper, a graduate of Yale Law School, has represented
business entities and individuals in the acquisition and sale
of residential and commercial real estate for more than 40
years. He has represented and counseled with homebuilders
in the selection and purchase of vacant parcels as large as
1,000 acres in the Chicago Metropolitan area, and has an active
practice in the related areas of zoning, financing, construction
loans, real estate taxation, environmental concerns and sales.
He negotiates and prepares leases for shopping centers and
industrial property, and structures business entities, including
sole proprietorships, partnerships, corporations and limited
liability companies.
Howard also actively consults with clients concerning their
estate plans, business succession plans, probate matters,
and the drafting of trusts. He acts as a trustee, and has
established charitable foundations for his clients.
Martindale-Hubbell has granted Howard Galper an AV rating
under its lawyer rating system. The AV rating is the highest
designation recognized by that organization for legal ability
and ethical standards.
Howard was a partner in the Chicago firm of Feiwell &
Galper, Ltd., until 1992, when he became of counsel to Marks,
Marks and Kaplan, Ltd. Upon the founding of Gordon & Rappold
LLC in 2006, he became Of Counsel to that firm.
