Richard W. Rappold is a real estate
and business lawyer with over 25 years of experience, handling
a variety of real estate transactions, including commercial
acquisitions and dispositions; commercial, office and industrial
leasing on behalf of landlords and tenants; condominium and
housing developments; tax-deferred exchanges; financing and
refinancing on behalf of property owners as well as institutional
lenders. Rich also represents businesses ranging from sole
proprietorships to family businesses and corporations and
limited liability companies, as well as probate administration
and business succession planning.
Rich Rappold has received an AV rating
under the Martindale Hubbell lawyer rating system. An AV rating
means that his attorney peers have recognized Rich Rappold
with their highest rating for legal ability and ethical standards.
Rich's real estate transactional experience is broad-based
and varied, ranging from the representation of the borrower
of a $60 million dollar construction loan to the seller of
a multi-million dollar hotel, as well as residential developers
of homes and condominiums and developments ranging from shopping
centers to large mixed-use developments. He is actively involved
in the drafting and negotiating of leases, purchase and sale
agreements, development documentation and the financing and
zoning issues incident to commercial real estate transactions.
Richard W. Rappold was a partner in the Chicago office of
Marks, Marks and Kaplan, Ltd. prior to becoming one of the
founders of Gordon & Rappold LLC.
